I don't know what it is about this style I like so much. I think perhaps the idea that it's not so "logical" or ordinary. I mean, anyone can decorate a baby nursery in pinks or blues - or in "animal" or "story" themes. For some reason that just seems kind of bland.
I understand that a lot of people are on a budget, and I think one of the things I like about the shabby chic style is that you CAN actually find items second-hand that fit right in. When it comes to baby stuff though, I would tend toward "new" so that you don't inadvertently bring home something with lead paint in it.
