There are so many days that have been set aside to celebrate some person, product or cause that I thought I'd compile them all in one place so I would remember them. That's why the National Silly Holidays was created.
Once I started looking at these holidays that have been known to make me smirk before I realized that they they were not quite as silly as I thought. I had thought previously that Plimsoll Day celebrates a shoe. It doesn't. I'd thought eating ice cream for breakfast as a holiday was downright unhealthy and although I still couldn't face it there's a good cause behind it.
